How to Change Night Light Strength in Windows 11
This article explains how to change the strength of Night Light in Windows 11.
Why: Computer screens emit blue light that can cause eye strain and make it harder for you to fall asleep at night. Adjusting the warmth of your display makes the screen easier on your eyes during late-night work.
What: By following these steps, you will customize the color temperature of your monitor to make your viewing experience more comfortable.
To help you get to sleep, turn on the night light, and your display will show warmer colors at night. If the default settings are not right for you, you can manually change the intensity.
Adjust Night light strength in Windows 11
You can change how “warm” or “orange” your screen looks by using the Settings app. This does not require admin privileges.
- Open the Windows Settings app. You can do this by clicking the Start button and selecting Settings, or by pressing the Windows key + I on your keyboard.

- Click on the System tab on the left side of the window.

- On the right side, click the Display tile.

- Click the Night light tile to expand the settings.

- Use the slider to adjust the strength of the light. Moving it to the right makes the screen warmer; moving it to the left makes it cooler. The default is set to 48.

Once you are happy with the color, you can close the Settings app. Your changes are saved automatically.
