How to Open HEIC Files in Windows 11
HEIC files are Apple photo formats that save space on iPhones and iPads while keeping picture quality high. Windows 11 cannot open these image files by default when you transfer them to your PC.
Install the free HEIF Image Extensions app from the Microsoft Store to add native file support so you can view these photos in the standard Microsoft Photos app.
