How to Change your language and regional settings in Teams on Windows 11
Language and regional settings in Microsoft Teams control how the app displays text, dates, and times separately from Windows 11. Changing these options lets you match international time zones or switch date formats from month-day-year to day-month-year across your account.
You can update these preferences directly inside the Teams desktop app without changing your main computer setup. This takes less than 1 minute to complete in the app settings menu.
Change your language and regional settings in Teams by clicking your profile picture, selecting Settings, then General. Choose to follow your OS settings or manually adjust the App language, Date format, and Time format.
Step 1Find Teams Settings
Open your teams language settings by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner of the window and choosing Settings from the drop-down menu. This opens the main panel where you can change your regional preferences and app behavior.

- If you want Teams to automatically use your Windows settings: Make sure this switch is turned ON. If you change your language, date, or time in Windows, Teams will change too.
- If you want to set Teams' language and formats yourself: Turn the Follow OS settings switch OFF. This lets you change these settings just for Teams.
Disable this toggle to manually configure your App language, Date format, and Time format.
