How to Adjust Cursor Movement Between Displays on Windows 11

Do you use more than one monitor with your computer? Sometimes, moving your mouse from one screen to the other can feel clunky. It often gets stuck at the edges if your screens aren’t lined up perfectly. Windows 11 has a new feature to fix this.

Why use this feature?

This setting makes your mouse movement smoother. It stops your cursor from getting stuck when you try to slide it from one screen to the next.

Your mouse will move seamlessly between your monitors, even if they are slightly misaligned in your settings.

This feature was introduced in Windows 11 build 22557. Please note that this is currently available for computers enrolled in the Windows 11 Insider Preview.

How to turn on or off ease of cursor movement

You can manage this through the Windows 11 build 22557 menu. Follow these simple steps:

1. Open your computer settings. You can press Windows Key + I on your keyboard or click Start, then select Settings.

   

2. In the Settings menu, click on the System tab. Then, click on the Display tile.

   

3. Look for the section labeled Multiple displays.
4. Find the option that says Ease cursor movement between displays.
5. Click the button to toggle it to On or Off.

   

Note: You do not need special permissions for this; any user account can change these display settings.
