This guide explains how to find and stop unwanted email newsletters using the new Outlook Outlook for Windows app on Windows 11. This app works with Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Gmail accounts.

Why should you do this?

Over time, your inbox can get cluttered with newsletters you no longer read. Cleaning these out helps you focus on important messages and keeps your inbox organized.

What happens when you are done?

Once you unsubscribe, you will stop receiving regular updates from those specific senders. This keeps your inbox tidy and saves you time.

The app includes many helpful features, such as support for email signatures, external email accounts, setting out-of-office automatic replies, and email sorting.

The Outlook app has a dedicated page that lists all your current email subscriptions. You can use this to unsubscribe from lists or block senders that look like spam.

How to unsubscribe from emails

First, open the new Outlook app on Windows 11.

You can open the app by clicking Start, then All apps, and selecting Outlook. You can also search for “Outlook” in the Start menu search box.

If you have more than one email account, choose the one you want to manage from the list. You will need to repeat these steps for each account if you want to clean them all up.

Find the sender you want to stop hearing from on the list. Click the Unsubscribe link next to their name.

Note: It can take up to 10 business days for a company to process your request. If you still get emails after that time, you might need to try these steps again or reach out to the sender directly.

If you want to stop all contact from a specific address, click the three dots (options) next to the email and select Block.

Summary

Managing your email subscriptions in the new Outlook app is a quick way to regain control of your inbox. By following these steps, you can easily remove unwanted newsletters and block junk mail. If you find you are still receiving messages after unsubscribing, simply repeat the process or block the sender manually.
