How to Enable or Disable Edge Mini Menu
Microsoft Edge Microsoft Edge browser is the default browser for Windows 11. You can switch to their preferred or favorite browser whenever you like. Edge runs on the same engine as Google Chrome. It includes a feature called the Mini Menu.
Why use the Mini Menu? This menu pops up when you highlight text on a webpage. It lets you quickly search or copy text. What happens when done? You will either have a cleaner screen without pop-ups or a faster way to search for information while browsing.
How to change the Mini Menu in Edge settings
You can turn this feature on or off inside the browser settings.
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Click the three dots in the top right corner and choose Settings.

- Click on Appearance in the menu on the left.

- Look for the Context menus section.
- Find the option Show mini menu when selecting text.
- Flip the switch to On or Off to match your preference.

Close and restart Edge to see your changes.
How to change the Mini Menu using the Registry Editor
Note: This method requires admin privileges.
You can also use the Windows Registry Editor to manage this feature.
- Open the Windows Registry.
- Go to this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge

If you do not see the Edge folder, right-click the Microsoft folder, select New, and create a folder named Edge.
- Right-click in the empty space on the right side.
- Select New, then DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the file
QuickSearchShowMiniMenu. - Double-click the new file. Set the Base to Decimal.
- Change the Value data to 1 to turn it on or 0 to turn it off.

Restart your computer to save the changes.
