Creating a new security key PIN on Windows 11 lets you set a fresh secret code for your physical security key. This PIN acts like a password, protecting access to your account through that key.
You’ll need this PIN when you sign in to your PC with your security key. If you forget your current PIN or want a more secure one, Windows 11 allows you to easily create a new one through the Settings app.
