How to Turn On or Off Night Light in Windows 11
Here’s how you can turn Night Light on or off in Windows 11.
Press ⊞ Win+A to open Quick Settings and click the Night light button. Alternatively, open Settings (⊞ Win+I), go to System, then Display, and toggle Night light on or off. You can also adjust its strength and schedule it to turn on automatically.

Windows 11 Night Light helps you sleep better by reducing the blue light your screen gives off at night.
Understanding Night Light Settings
You can change how strong the Windows 11 Night Light effect is by adjusting its warmth, measured in Kelvin.
You can also schedule Night Light to turn on and off automatically. Choose Sunset to sunrise for automatic activation. Alternatively, select Set hours and enter custom times for when you want Night Light to kick in.
Important Information
Not all computers can use Windows 11 Night Light; it won’t work if your device uses specific drivers like DisplayLink.

The Night Light feature requires the Connected Devices Platform Service to be enabled and running.
Option 1Use Quick Settings
- Open Quick Settings by pressing ⊞ Win+A.
- Click the Night light button to turn it on or off.

Option 2Use Settings
- Open Settings by pressing ⊞ Win+I.
- Click System on the left side.
- Click Display on the right side.
- Turn Night light on or off for what you want.
- You can now close Settings if you like.
