Control whether your conversations are used for Microsoft Copilot model training
Microsoft Copilot model training is a background process that uses your personal chat data from Windows 11 and 10 to teach its AI assistant and make answers smarter for everyone. Turning off this setting stops Microsoft from adding your private questions and personal details to public AI training sets.
You can opt out of this data sharing in a few clicks through your account privacy controls. Disabling the feature blocks Copilot from learning from any of your future chats.
Go to your Copilot Privacy settings and turn off “Training on conversation activity.” If you use voice commands, also disable “Training on voice conversations.” This prevents your chats and audio from being used for AI model training.

Voice recordings or text transcriptions will not improve Microsoft Copilot's ability to understand and respond to spoken language once disabled. Spoken queries stop training the AI model entirely.
