How to Enable Touch Mode in Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge Microsoft Edge browser is the main web browser for Windows 11. You can always switch to their preferred or favorite browser if you prefer a different one. Edge is built on the same technology as Google Chrome.
Microsoft is adding a new Touch mode feature. It makes buttons and tabs larger and easier to tap with your finger. This is very helpful if you use a tablet or a laptop with a touchscreen.
Why use Touch mode?
Using a mouse is precise, but your finger is not. Touch mode creates more space between buttons so you do not accidentally click the wrong thing. It makes browsing much more comfortable on a touch screen.
What happens when you are done?
Once you change the setting, your browser will look different. The buttons will appear slightly larger and spaced further apart. This makes navigation much easier when you are not using a mouse.
How to change Touch mode settings
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Click the three horizontal dots in the top right corner.
- Select Settings from the menu.

Note: You do not need admin privileges to change these settings.
