The OneDrive app helps you sync your files and folders to the Microsoft Cloud. This lets you reach your files from your phone or other computers.

Your service includes a feature called Personal Vault. This is a private area in your OneDrive. You can only open it with extra security steps. These include your fingerprint, face, PIN, or a code sent to your email or phone.

Why use this? It keeps your most important files safe even if someone else gets into your computer. What happens when done? Your sensitive data is shielded behind a secondary lock that requires your identity verification to open.

By default, your Vault locks itself after a period of inactivity. You can also lock or unlock it manually whenever you want.

Using the Notification Center

If your computer has been idle for a while, you may see a notification at the notification center. You can click the “Lock Personal Vault” button right in that window to secure your files.
