This guide shows you how to clear your search history in the new Outlook app on Windows 11.

The new Outlook for Windows offers a modern design. It supports Microsoft 365 work or school accounts, Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Gmail accounts.

The app includes many features, such as support for subscription management, email forwarding, setting default From address, backing up your mailbox, changing the reading pane, opening a new window for a message, language translations, turning text predictions on or off, switch primary account, sharing a calendar,  changing language, date and time format, public a calendar, and show week numbers in Outlook calendar.

Why delete search history?

Outlook saves your past searches to make future results faster. However, you might want to clear this list. Why? It keeps your private information safe if you share your computer. It also clears up small amounts of storage space and lets you start with a clean slate if your search results feel cluttered.

  1. First, open the new Outlook app on Windows 11. You can find it by clicking Start, then All apps, and selecting Outlook.

  1. A message will pop up to confirm your choice. Click Continue to finish.
