How to Customize Quick Settings in Windows 11

Do you want to quickly change your volume, screen brightness, or Wi-Fi? Windows 11 has a Quick Settings panel just for that. It sits in the bottom right corner of your screen, near the clock. How to Add or Remove Buttons in Quick Settings

What happens? Your Quick Settings panel will only show the buttons you want, in the order you choose.

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Press Windows key + A on your keyboard to open the Quick Settings panel. Or click the battery, sound, or network icon at the bottom right of your screen.
  2. In the Quick Settings panel, click the pencil icon that says Edit quick settings.
  3. Click the pencil icon to edit Quick Settings
  4. To add a new button, click the Add button.
  5. Add buttons to Quick Settings
  6. Pick the buttons you want to add by clicking on them.
  7. To remove a button, click the Unpin button below the button you want to remove.
  8. Remove buttons from Quick Settings
  9. You can also rearrange buttons by clicking and holding a button and dragging it to where you want it.
  10. When you’re done, click the Done button to save your changes.

That’s it! Your Quick Settings panel will now have only the buttons you want, in the order you like.

If you want to stop other people from changing your Quick Settings buttons, you can disable editing of Quick Settings.
