Windows 11 can suggest helpful actions based on the apps you use. These suggestions show up as quick options you can pick, making it easier to get things done.
If you have a Copilot+ PC, there’s a new place in Windows 11 where you can decide which apps show these recommended actions.
Note: This feature is mostly for Copilot+ PCs right now, but Microsoft plans to make it available for everyone soon.
How to Turn Recommended Actions On or Off
Follow these simple steps to control which apps can suggest actions for you:
- Open the Settings app:
- Click the Start menu (the Windows icon at the bottom left) and then click Settings.
- Or press Windows key + I on your keyboard to open Settings quickly.
- Go to Apps settings:
In the Settings window, click Apps from the left menu.

- Open Actions:
On the right, find and click the Actions tile.

- Choose apps for recommended actions:
You will see a list of apps. Turn the switch on or off next to each app to allow or block recommended actions.

- Close Settings:
Once you finish, just close the Settings window. Your choices will be saved.
Why Use Recommended Actions?
- Faster tasks: Get quick suggestions right when you need them.
- Personal control: Pick which apps can show you these helpful tips.
- Better use of Copilot+: This feature works best on PCs with Copilot+.
Remember: This feature is still new and will be available to more people soon with future Windows updates.
