How to Change the Copilot Key App on Windows 11
Follow these simple steps to change what the Copilot key does:
- Open Windows Settings:
– Click the Start menu (the Windows icon in the lower-left corner), then select Settings.
– Or press Windows key + I on your keyboard to open Settings directly.
- Go to Personalization:
In the Settings window, click on Personalization on the left side.
- Choose Text input:
On the right side, find and click the Text input option to open it. - Select Customize Copilot key on keyboard:
Scroll down and click on the box that says Customize Copilot key on keyboard. - Pick what you want the Copilot key to do:
You will see options like:- Search — Opens Windows Search
- Copilot — Opens the Copilot app (default)
- Custom — Choose another app to open
- If you choose Custom:
A new window will pop up showing apps you can assign to the Copilot key. Pick the app you want. - Save your changes:
