This simple guide will help you turn on or off a feature called Delivery Optimization in Windows 11. Delivery Optimization helps your PC get Windows updates and apps faster by sharing parts of downloads with other PCs.
What is Delivery Optimization?
Windows Update Delivery Optimization lets your PC download updates and apps not only from Microsoft but also from other PCs on your local network or even on the internet. This can make updates faster and save internet data, especially if you have multiple devices.

Here’s how it works:
- Your PC looks for other devices that already have parts of the update or app you need.
- It downloads small pieces from those devices and from Microsoft at the same time.
- This helps the download finish quicker and uses less internet data.
Important: Delivery Optimization only shares Windows updates and apps. It does NOT share any of your personal files or information.
