How to Remove Windows 11 Desktop Stickers
You remove Windows 11 desktop stickers by disabling the hidden Desktop Stickers feature.
This unofficial feature, which lets you add decorative overlays to your Windows 11 desktop, is not enabled by default and often requires registry edits.
If you previously enabled desktop stickers through the registry, for example by modifying paths like 🗝️HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop, you can now easily revert this setting.
To get rid of these desktop stickers, simply right-click on an empty area of your desktop and select “Add or edit stickers” from the context menu.
Right-click your desktop and select “Add or edit stickers” to open the editor. Click on a sticker and then the “Delete” button to remove it individually. Close the editor when finished.
Will removing stickers damage my laptop?
Choose a sticker with a medium-strength adhesive. This means your stickers are strong enough to stick, but will not damage your laptop when you want to remove them.
Does WD-40 remove stickers from Windows?
While most commonly known as a lubricant, WD-40 is another solvent that's effective at dissolving adhesive residue. It's particularly useful for removing stickers from glass, plastic, and metal surfaces.
