This guide shows you how to see and control your phone screen right from your Windows 11 computer using the Phone Link app.

Windows allows users to use the Phone Link app  to link their phones and share data easily.

The Phone Link app lets you use your Android or iPhone apps on your PC. By using a Wi-Fi connection or Bluetooth connection, you can browse, chat, and play games using your computer’s keyboard and mouse. You can even mirror your phone screen to see exactly what is on your device.

Why mirror your phone screen?

Mirroring your screen is useful when you want to show someone how to use an app, or if you simply want to manage your phone without picking it up.

What happens when you are done?

Once finished, you can simply close the phone window on your PC. Your phone will continue to work normally in your hand, and your data remains synced.

Steps to mirror your phone

  1. Open the Phone Link app on your computer. You can find it in your Start menu under All apps, or by clicking the icon in your Taskbar (Taskbar overflow).
  2. Once the app is open, click the Apps button in the menu.
  3. Look for the link that says Open phone screen and click it.

After clicking that link, your phone screen will appear in a window on your desktop. You can now click and type as if you were holding the phone.

Summary

The Phone Link app is a great tool for connecting your mobile device to your PC. By mirroring your screen, you can use your computer’s keyboard and mouse to navigate your apps, share your screen for demonstrations, or manage your phone tasks more comfortably. No special admin privileges are required for this process, as it runs under your standard user account.
