In Windows 11 build 22635.4950 (Beta 23H2) and build 27818.1000 (Canary), Microsoft has introduced a new drag-and-drop tray feature that displays a convenient tray at the top of the screen, allowing you to drop files into one of the shown apps easily.

The new tray will appear when you start dragging a local file with the mouse (or touch) from File Explorer or your desktop. Choose “More…”  to open the Windows share window.

Select a file and start dragging to the top of the screen to display the share tray.

Select one of the app you want to use to share the file. choose “More…”  to open the Windows share window.
