How to Enable Bcc in Outlook for Windows 11
The new Outlook for Windows brings a clean, modern design to your email. It works with Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Gmail accounts. The app includes many tools like email signatures, external email accounts, out-of-office automatic replies, email sorting, subscription management, and email forwarding.
One helpful tool is the Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy) feature. Why use it? It lets you send an email to many people without showing their email addresses to everyone else. When you use Bcc, recipients only see the names in the “To” field. This keeps your contact list private.
How to show the Bcc field
First, open the new Outlook app on your computer. You can open it from the Start menu by searching for “Outlook.”

Once the app is open, click the New mail button.

In the window where you write your message, look to the right of the To field. Click the Bcc button. This will make the Bcc field appear so you can add your contacts.

What happens when you are done? The Bcc field will only show for that specific email. If you start a new email later, the field will be hidden again.

How to always show the Bcc field
If you want the Bcc field to show up every time you write a new email, follow these steps:
Click the Settings button (the gear icon) at the top right of the app.

On the settings page, click the Mail tab on the left. Then, choose Compose and reply.
Select the email account you want to change. Note: This setting only applies to the specific account you select. If you have multiple accounts, you must repeat these steps for each one.

Check the box that says Always show Bcc. To hide it again later, just uncheck this box.

Save your changes and restart Outlook to finish.
Summary
The Bcc feature is a simple way to protect the privacy of your email recipients. You can toggle it on for a single email by clicking the Bcc button in the message window, or you can set it to appear automatically for all new emails through the Compose and reply settings menu.
