How to rename app folders
You must be using Windows 11 Build 22579 or newer to see these options. If you are not in the Insider Preview program, you will need to wait for a future public update.
- Open your Start menu.
- Create a folder by dragging one app icon on top of another.
- Click on the folder to open it.
- Click the “Edit name” button.

Once you click “Edit name,” a text box will appear at the top of the folder.
