How to Automatically Start Magnifier Before Signing in Windows 11
Windows includes a built-in tool called Magnifier. It acts like a digital magnifying glass to zoom in on your screen. This helps you see text and images more clearly.
Why use Magnifier?
If you have trouble seeing small text or details on your monitor, Magnifier makes your screen easier to read. Setting it to start automatically saves you time and ensures your display is ready for you the moment you log in.
What happens when done?
Once you finish these steps, Windows will launch the Magnifier tool immediately when you turn on your PC or after you sign into your user account.
Note: Some system-level changes may require administrative privileges to ensure they apply to all users on the device.
How to enable automatic Magnifier
You can manage this through the Windows Settings app. First, open the Settings menu by pressing the Windows key + I on your keyboard, or by clicking Start and selecting the Settings gear icon.

Once the Settings window is open, follow these steps:
- Select Accessibility from the menu on the left.
- Click on Magnifier in the right pane.

On the Magnifier settings page, you will see a toggle switch. Turn this to On to enable the tool.
Next, click the small arrow next to the Magnifier tile to expand the additional options. You will see two checkboxes:
- Start Magnifier before sign-in
- Start Magnifier after sign-in

Check the boxes for whichever option you prefer. You can select both if you want the tool to be active at all times. Once you have made your selections, you can simply close the Settings window. Your changes are saved automatically.
If you prefer to use the command line, you can modify registry settings, though this is for advanced users. For example, you can adjust settings located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop or manage system files in C:\Windows\System32 if necessary.

Doesn’t work as you stated. I’ve tried checking either box or both and if I shut down the computer fully I still have to hit windows logo and the plus sign…..Never starts automatically.
