You don’t need to do anything to clear the usage data from your computer. Windows will reset the network usage data automatically after 30 days.

The network data can be helpful in many. For example, it shows how apps use the most data and which network adapter(s) they use to connect to the Network.

You can use the reset button to reset manually, clear the data, and start over. The steps below will show you how to do that.

You must be an administrator or have equivalent rights to be able to reset your device’s network data usage stats.

How to reset network data usage stats in Windows 11

As mentioned above, Windows automatically resets the network data usage after 30 days. If you want to reset the usage data and start over manually, the steps below show you how.

Windows 11 has a centralized location for the majority of its settings. As a result, everything can be done, from system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows from its System Settings pane.

To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + I shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings, as shown in the image below:

Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar to search for Settings. Then select to open it.

Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. In the Windows Settings app, click Network & internet on the left. You should see each network interface data usage on the right, as highlighted in the image below.

When you click on the Data usage field, it will automatically open the Network & internet -> Advanced network settings -> Data usage setting pane for that interface.

On that pane, scroll down to the bottom, then click the Reset button on the Reset usage stats tile to reset the network data usage for that interface.

Repeat this for each network interface attached to your Windows devices.
