Then select the Dev branch. If the Beta channel is available, choose that version instead.
When prompted what to do with the File, choose to Save the File.

That should take you to the software install page for the Edge package. When you click the Install button, it should prompt you to enter your password to continue the installation.
Once done, you should be able to go to the Activities dashboard, search for Edge, and launch.

To install Edge this way, run the commands below to dependencies for the Edge repository and packages.

Next, install the Microsoft GPG key by running the commands below:
wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -
After that, add the Microsoft Edge repository file in Ubuntu using the commands below:
sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/edge stable main"
Finally, run the commands below to install the Microsoft Edge browser.
sudo apt install microsoft-edge-stable
