This tutorial will help you turn on or off the pointer location feature when you press the Ctrl key in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
The mouse pointer (also called the cursor) is the small icon on your screen that shows where your mouse is pointing.
Windows 11 has a helpful feature. When you press the Ctrl key, a circle appears around your mouse pointer. This makes it easy to find your cursor on the screen.

How to Turn This Feature On or Off:
- Open the Control Panel in icons view. Click on the Mouse icon.
- Click on the Pointer Options tab.
- Check the box (to turn on) or uncheck the box (to turn off) next to Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key. This option is under the Snap To section.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- You can now close the Control Panel.

That’s all there is to it!
