This article explains how to enable or disable the grammar and spell check assistance in Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft Edge is the default browser in Windows 11. However, users can switch to their preferred or favorite browser anytime. Edge is based on Chromium, similar to Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers today.
Microsoft Editor is built into Microsoft Edge with advanced writing assistance in various languages. Editor in Microsoft Edge offers enhanced spellchecking, grammar checking, and text predictions to help you write confidently across the web.
If you use the Basic editor, Microsoft Edge will perform only local spellchecking on the device, and no data will be sent to the Microsoft cloud for spellchecking services.
The editor in Microsoft Edge runs in textboxes where websites don’t support spellcheck.
