This article explains how to enable or disable opening supported links in the Amazon Appstore with Windows Subsystem for Androids (WSA) in Windows 11.

Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) creates a virtual machine that provides the environment to install and run Android applications as natively installed on Windows.

You can install and play Android apps and games on your Windows machine using the virtualized environment through the Amazone Appstore.

Some default links are automatically included when you run the Amazon Appstore through WSA. These links will open the WSA Amazon Appstore when you click them. For example, your shipment tracking link sent to your email will try to open the Amazon Appstore when you click it automatically.

Here’s how to turn it on or off in Windows 11.

As mentioned above, when you run the Amazon Appstore through WSA, supported links will automatically trigger and open the Amazon Appstore app in Windows.

Here’s how to turn it on or off.

First, you must install Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11. If you haven’t already done so, follow the post below to learn how to install it.

How to install Windows Subsystem for Android on Windows 11

Once installed, go to the Start menu, and search for Windows Subsystem for Android. Then, select and open Windows Subsystem for Android app under Best Match.

When the app opens, go to its Apps pane on the left.

On the right, under the Apps banner and click the Amazon Appstore then select the More options (3 buttons) to show the App settings.

Alternatively, click on Start and select All apps. Then right-click on the Amazon Appstore on the list and select More -> App settings.

Click the Open by default tile on the Amazone Appstore details page to expand it.

On the Amazon Appstore -> App settings -> Open by default settings page, toggle the button to the On position to enable.

To turn it off, toggle the button back to the Off position.

That should do it!
