This post shows students and new users steps to turn on or off the Phone link apps notification banners in Windows 11. Windows allows users to use the Phone Link app to link an Android phone to Windows and seamlessly transfer content between their phones and devices.

Once your phone is linked and connected to your Windows PC, notifications from your Android device will appear on your PC. You can also view and manage your Android device notifications on your PC.

When you manage notifications like replying to messages or snoozing an alarm, action will also be done on your Android device. When you snooze or delete a notification on your Windows device, it will be deleted on your phone.

You can also choose which apps can display notifications when using Windows via the Phone Link app notification banner or turn off notification banners altogether.

How to disable or enable Phone Link app notification banners in Windows 11

As mentioned above, when you connect your Android via Phone Link apps in Windows, you can choose which apps to display notifications or turn on notification banners completely.

Below is how to do that.

Your Phone Link app is integrated into Windows notifications. So if you want to receive notifications in Windows, you’ll want to make sure Windows notifications and the Phone Link app are enabled.

Click Start and go to Settings > System > Notifications. Select the Notifications tile and toggle to On or Off.

At the bottom of the screen, under Notifications from apps and other senders, select the Phone Link app tile and toggle to On or Off.

Next, open the Phone Link app on your Windows machine, and go to the Settings (gear) icon. Then select Features as highlighted below.

On the Feature settings pane,  Under Notifications, turn On or Off Show notification banners to enable or disable the notification banners,

That should do it!
