Then create a database called vtigercrmdb

CREATE DATABASE vtigercrmdb;

Create a database user called vtigercrmuser with a new password

CREATE USER 'vtigercrmuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'new_password_here';

Then grant the user full access to the database.

GRANT ALL ON vtigercrmdb.* TO 'vtigercrmuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'user_password_here' WITH GRANT OPTION;

I love computers; maybe way too much. What I learned I try to share at

  1. Hi
    are you actually running vtiger on such configuration? I followed your steps and my installation finishes with “result is not an object” error. Now I realised that offical vtiger site requires PHP 5.2+, 7.0

    I don’t believe that PHP version is the issue here but would like to know for sure.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  2. In step 6. there’s “Finally, configure Apahce2 site configuration file” — apart from obvious typo, it should be Nginx, right?

  3. I sugget in 2019 to use Docker with this
