This article explains selecting your default Windows Hello Camera in Windows 11.

Windows 11 has a Windows Hello feature that provides a more personal and secure way to sign into Windows.

With Windows Hello, one can use a PIN, facial recognition, or fingerprint to sign into their devices. In addition, the windows Hello feature offers several ways to ditch their passwords in favor of a more secure and personal authentication method.

When you set up the Windows Hello Facial Recognition login method, Windows uses your device camera to sign you in with your face.

Starting with Windows 11 build 35324, you can select your preferred camera if your device has multiple cameras that support Windows Hello. Below is how to set up Windows Hello with your preferred camera when using facial recognition to sign in.

Select Windows Hello preferred camera

As mentioned above, if your device has multiple cameras and you set up Windows Hello facial recognition as your sign-in method, you can select one of the cameras as your default.

Here’s how to do that.

First, open the Windows Settings app.

You can do that by clicking on the Start menu and selecting Settings. Or press the keyboard shortcut (Windows key + I) to launch the Settings app.

When the Setting app opens, click the Accounts button on the left.

Select the Sign-in options tile on the right to expand it.

On the Accounts -> Sign-in options setting pane under Ways to sign in, select and expand the Facial recognition (Windows Hello) tile.

Select your default preferred Hello camera on the expanded tile, as highlighted below.

Close the Settings app when you are done.

That should do it!
